Tanlink's electrical passive loopbacks are designed to support datacom, Infiniband, and Fibre Channel applications, which provides a means to test port operation in boards and systems. They are hot-swappable, cast from metal, and offer excellent EMI performance. Tanlink offers a wide range of loopbacks on SFP+, SFP28, QSFP+, QSFP28, and QSFP-DD.

Tanlink's passive electrical loopbacks are used to test transceiver ports in board-level testing. Electrical loopbacks provide a low cost, low loss method for port testing. These loopbacks are packaged in a standard MSA housing and are compatible with all SFP+/SFP28/QSFP+/QSFP28 ports. Transmission data from the host is electrically routed (internally in the loopback module) to the receive data output and then back to the host. Since the loopback module does not contain laser diodes, photodiodes, laser drivers or transimpedance amplifier chips, etc., it provides an economical way to exercise the ports during R&D validation, production testing and field testing.
